Role description:

Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Discover Impactful Work:  Associate Scientist will conduct the cell culture lab works in both cell line development (CLD) and cell culture process development (Upstream) teams to support the development of stable manufacture cell lines that express the therapeutic antibodies.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):

  • Conduct experiments for bioanalytical methods (such as ELISA potency assays, CHO HCP assays and Residual Pro A assays).
  • Conduct routine testing to support early stage development, including cell line development, process development, and formulation development.
  • Present/conclude data summaries.
  • Operate and maintain bioanalytical instrumentation in compliance with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Equipment: ELISA plate reader and SoftMax Pro software
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):

  • BS degree within chemical engineering, biochemical engineering biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology and 1+ years of experience in an appropriate subject area or working towards relevant qualification
  • Basic knowledge in aseptic cell culture is required, hands-on experience in cell culture process development is helpful, relevant experience is a plus.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative, organized, and pay attention to details.

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
