Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is searching for a Director Project Manager – FSP, a dynamic and proven leader to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

Director Clinical Project Manager – FSP

Remote, USA

Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert between the sponsor and the organization.

1. Ensure clear delineation in responsibilities and communication pathways for secondary project leads on complex projects.

Own the strategic direction and overall delivery of cross-functional projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality standards.

1. Drive financial stewardship at the project level, understanding contracts, aligning resources to budgets, managing out-of-scope activities, and negotiating contract modifications.

Manage customer expectations to achieve efficient project delivery.

1. Ensure compliance with organization policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversight Role:

Accountable for strategic project and portfolio management within a Therapeutic Unit.

1. Drive innovation and critical thinking in project execution, financial negotiations, and prioritization.

Lead initiatives and collaborate with the Therapeutic Unit Head on business growth strategies.

1. Support People Managers by providing expertise related to client needs and therapeutic knowledge.

  • People Manager Role:

Lead all aspects of the career development and performance management of direct reports, encouraging an environment of trust and motivation.

1. Provide mentoring and development in both soft and technical skills.

Ensure alignment between career development and business needs by collaborating with key collaborators.

1. Drive performance results using metrics and lead initiatives to foster talent development.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification.

1. 12+ years of experience with 5+ years in management roles.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive corporate strategies.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Advanced understanding of global regulatory requirements and guidelines.

1. Sharp analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrates strong leadership presence and effective critical thinking abilities.

1. Excellent customer service, negotiation, and collaborator coordination abilities.
