How you will make an impact:
Seeking a Financial Analyst who will provide finance and business partnering to support the Life Science Solutions Group’s Sourcing & Procurement organization. This role will closely interact with the VP of Sourcing and Procurement in supporting Strategic growth initiatives, financial planning, and analytics and metrics reporting. The ideal candidate will provide valuable analysis to enable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities and develop a strong partnership with both Procurement and Operations Finance.
What you will do:
- Lead the month end and quarter end sourcing productivity and purchase price variance reporting and forecasting process to support procurement and sourcing analytics.
- Assist with annual planning cycle by facilitating global AOP process with the sourcing & procurement teams.
- Drive financial data analytics, interpret financial results for determining past financial performance risks and opportunities for future performance.
- Analyze and provide financial guidance on Make vs Buy decisions with business partners.
- Develop financial reports / models for forecasting, trending, budgeting, and results analysis. Drive financial analysis, interpretation of key issues, metrics to leadership along with recommendation for course correction with advanced excel skills.
- Assist on projects to improve operational and financial effectiveness.
- Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e., engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep).
- Completes analysis and journal entries related to PPV.
How you will get here:
Education
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of business and Finance experience preferred
- Experience in leading and running a distributed team
- Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization
- Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), PowerPoint, and Hyperion is preferred
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Proven business partner and influencer
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
