Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations in Mexico and Colombia, using your expertise to guide our practices.
• Lead meetings with team members and external consultants to align strategies, discuss financial matters, and provide updates on accounting issues.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting through effective communication.
• Contribute to account reconciliations and prepare technical reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements that accurately reflect the company's financial position.
• Complete monthly closings, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit-related inquiries.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting and tax regulations in Mexico and Colombia, assessing their impact on the organization.
• Serve as a key point of contact for accounting issues in the North Latam Region.
• Work effectively in multifunctional teams to run, plan, monitor, and deliver finance projects on time.
• Plan and monitor finance projects efficiently.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations in Mexico and Colombia.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Consistent track record in running financial reporting and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
