Location/Division Specific Information
Evidera’s Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group combines a unique portfolio of scientific fields, including health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, psychology, and other. Our work has helped identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient outcomes, preference and/or adherence, while supporting promotional and labeling claims on a global scale. This is a fully remote, home based position.
Position Overview:
Nationally and/or internationally recognized for health preference research
work with high external visibility and strong track record of publications and presentations. Maintains an established line of researchand expertise and provides senior level mentorship and oversight of junior scientific staff. Has broad responsibility for overall financial performance of the Patient-Centered Research (PCR) organization within Evidera and has substantial input into business and strategic development.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
Project Management
Develops and maintains individual portfolio
Responsible for ultimate quality of client deliverables
Responsible for maintaining efficient use of project team resources and delivering within established project budget
Develops proposals, drafting complex steps for scientific integrity to ensure methodological and strategic aspects
Science
Serve as internal consultation resource and provides senior level oversight to staff for project work and relevant methods and regulatory issues
Maintain high external visibility as recognized leader in field through track record of publications and presentations
Maintain an established line of research and expertise in health preference research
Oversees quantitative and qualitative analyses and leads those analyses, interprets results, and oversees other project staff in completion of related deliverables.
Drives scientific excellence and innovation throughout the PCR organization
Strategy/Consulting
Actively participates in the development of PCR scientific direction and goals
Provides high level consultation with regulatory bodies and science boards
Develops innovative science strategies and collaborative projects
Works across Evidera business units to develop innovative solutions to client issues
Financial & Business Development
Assumes significant responsibility for sales targets and client development
Responsible for financial performance of own projects
Takes substantial responsibility for broader PCR financial performance through contribution of leads
Managerial Duties:
Participates in recruitment process – particularly with SRA/RS/SRS level personnel
Supervises mid-high level scientific staff
Participate in maintaining the scientific quality of the PCR staff through providing training and through establishing benchmarks of scientific excellence
Education, Professional Skills & Experience
PhD and 10+ years’ experience or
MA and 15+ years’ experience or
Equivalent thereof in health outcomes and patient-centered research related field
MS Word, PPT, Excel; familiarity with SAS or similar data analysis software
Ability to lead project teams through innovative, complex and collaborative projects
Ability to work across Evidera business units
Personal Skills & Competencies
Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech product development process; extensive knowledge of global regulatory requirements related to health outcomes and patient-centered researchand measurement; deep understanding of health outcomes and patient-centered researchprinciples and familiarity with key aspects of the literature (historical and current); advanced level understanding of relevant methodology and statistics; extensive knowledge of practical research implementation; excellent communication skills including professional presentations; ability to critically review literature and contribute successfully to peer-reviewed literature in health outcomes and patient-centered research. Externally visible leader in health outcomes and patient-centered research field; provides senior consultation to clients.
