Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific's GBS Digital Enablement is seeking a Business Analyst to support the shared services centers. Our global unit is dedicated to building the future capabilities of the company by leveraging existing and new technologies in an innovative manner. As a fast-growing organization and a key strategic pillar of the company, our team has a unique opportunity to support this growth by creating additional capacity rather than solely focusing on cost reduction.

The Business Analyst will be part of the Digital Enablement Team, which is responsible for delivering automation initiatives using various tools such as MS SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, UiPath, and other low-code or no-code automation tools.

We are seeking a professional with a comprehensive understanding of business process reengineering and automation, capable of resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading process automation initiatives in a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support process improvement initiatives and collaborating with key partners to:
  • Understand business problems.
  • Analyze business processes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Design solutions in collaboration with the business, IT, and other key partners.
  • Apply automation expertise to define the appropriate automation tools.
  • Facilitate design and planning.
  • Measure and provide feedback on implemented results.
  • Collaborating with our global teams on delivery projects.
  • Participating in pilots to test new technologies and implement new tools.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Professional attitude with the ability to manage key partners.
  • Excellent process improvement skills, with a good understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Zero Based Budgeting, Design Thinking, etc. - certification not required).
  • Service-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong listening skills and patience to work with employees of all types.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  • High energy with the ability to coordinate and prioritize engineering decisions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Power Apps.
  • Experience in accounting or financial operations is a plus.
  • Experience in process analysis, including process cost calculation, is required, and process mining experience is a plus.
  • Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Work Fusion is required.
  • Front and backend developer experience (Angular, Django, Python, R, etc.) is an advantage.
  • English language skills are required for this role, while Spanish and Hungarian language skills are a plus but not required.
  • This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree as a plus.
