This position is key to cost analysis and control, supporting strategic decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Month end close Journal Entries with supporting documents.
Confirm Inventory accuracy, cycle count audits.
Parner with Operations to review business cases and support with financial information.
Analyze and prepare E&O reports, include improvements in reporting and suggest reductions in reserves.
Support in the annual cost roll up, Purchase items, BOM and routings revisions and rates calculations.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the Costing month end close.
Reporting MUV, PPV, Scrap, Inventories with commentaries and resolve issues with production.
Perform weekly reports, Hours and absorption, actual and Forecast.
Support in the AOP.
Lead physical Inventory and cycle counts implementation.
Financial Reporting and cost analysis:Preparing financial reports, including cost reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. Conducting detailed cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
Variance Analysis:Analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures, investigating discrepancies, and providing insights for corrective actions.
Inventory Management:Monitoring and managing inventory costs, performing physical inventory.
Process Improvements:Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Collaboration:Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
MRP system knowledge, Macola.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
5 years or more of experience as a cost accountant.
Experience in the medical industry (desirable)
Advanced Excel skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics, Public Accounting, or related fields.
