Product Specific Info

As part of the R&D organization, the application software team in Brno is responsible for the development of application software for Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM) with a focus on cryo-electron tomography. This is a high-resolution technique that enables researchers to visualize the intricate molecular structures within cells in 3D at nanoscale resolution. Our Tomography 5 software offers an intuitive interface that supports efficient image acquisition, even for difficult vitrified samples, it has been developed in C#/.NET on Windows platform by dedicated SCRUM team. The project benefits from a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Daily Challenges

You'll support all stages of the product lifecycle, from research and design to its development and maintenance.

  • Learn principles of electron microscopy to understand the context of our applications
  • Collect feedback about specific needs by communicating with stakeholders on a regular basis and using this information to improve the products
  • Handle incoming bug reports and change requests for the product
  • Do not be afraid to dive into the existing software packages to build future solutions
  • Provide tools and scientific applications that allow our customers to focus on innovation and scientific research.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Should you have the following skills, you have a good chance to succeed in your new role.

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team and readiness collaborate
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English language (we are an international team)
  • Strong programming experience in C#/.NET
  • In-depth understanding in OOAD and SOLID principles, design patterns and state modelling
  • Demonstrated expertise with Desktop application development using WPF is a definite plus
  • Willingness to learn or familiarity with geometry and computational mathematics is a plus
  • University diploma or equivalent encouraged
