Join a dynamic team as the leader of the Commercial organization for the Viral Vector Services and Advanced Therapies business lines. You will have accountability for driving sales growth and global commercial operational success leading business development, proposals, technical SMEs, business and project management. Responsibilities encompass objectives that drive success in both new business sales and expansions of existing customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead sales team through role model leadership, proactive performance management and coaching, and focused engagement to attract, retain and develop talent.
- Lead overall sales strategy for multiple service platforms and achieve new business targets, share of wallet gains, margin expansion and overall growth objectives.
- Partner within the Pharma Services, Clinical Research or Thermo Fisher to build differentiated solutions to tackle key customer problems and optimize go to market value proposition.
- Work closely with Marketing and the business unit leadership to develop robust marketing actions to support demand generation activities.
- Management/ownership of new and existing business relationships including strategic client program management and contract compliance
- Ensure that there are robust processes in place to handle critical issues in the customer experience including ownership of CAS programs
- Liaise with finance and site leadership to understand forecast and supply chain demands for clients
- Ensure engagement and compliance with all SalesForce.com and sales management activities
- Provide input into critical initiatives including coordinated cross selling and potential M&A.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as micro-biology, cellular biology, and chemistry. MBA and/or Advance Science Degree, preferred.
- 10+ years in sales with demonstrated consistent above plan performance.
- Sales leadership experience in a dynamic business climate.
- Has experience selling to, and building partnerships with, major pharmaceutical organizations as well as small biotech companies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to coach, mentor and lead a team across multiple regions
- Ability to network, consult and influence senior leaders
- Strong understanding of biologics, including but not limited to vaccines, blood, or blood components, allergenic, somatic cells, gene therapies, tissues, recombinant therapeutic protein, and living cells used in cell therapy.
