Clinical Lab Instrumentation Specialist

This outstanding opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic environment, providing system analysis for new laboratory instruments and maintaining existing ones flawlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system analysis for new laboratory instruments and maintain existing instruments.
  • Assist in the validation and verification of lab instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing lab equipment, interacting with vendors for maintenance and repair of analytical instruments.
  • Support lab personnel to successfully implement analysis results within specific time frames.
  • Complete performance qualification (PQ) and maintain deployed instruments with precision.
  • Coordinate the deployment of equipment with operational staff.
  • Perform unit system testing, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and calibration; conduct validation tests as needed.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and test procedures for new technologies, and performance qualification (PQ) teams for existing technologies.
  • Aid in the installation of new instruments.
  • Provide basic operational training for end users on analytical instruments.
  • Evaluate laboratory support records for compliance with standard operating procedures, review their integrity and accuracy, and report findings.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge in the operation of mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, relational databases, and other analytical instruments.
  • Familiarity with PPD or CRO/pharmaceutical industry systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with vendors.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capability to train others and work in a collaborative team environment.
