Job Description

The NAM Instrument Services Sr HR Business Manager role in Raleigh, NC supports the Instrument and Enterprise Services business.

How will you make an impact?

Lead and collaborate with the NAM Instrument Services Sr Director to improve leadership, culture, organization, hiring, employee issues, and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with functional leaders on organizational assessment, structure, and workforce planning to improve overall organizational capability.
  • Ensure HR processes align with strategic and operating goals (e.g., HRR, PMD, QBR).
  • Drive the HR component of business strategy through planning, developing, and implementing HR initiatives to improve efficiency, competence, and effectiveness.
  • Advise and mentor employees and managers on performance management, complaint resolution, subject area, and terminations in line with local culture and legal environments.
  • Promote a positive One Thermo Fisher company culture to drive employee engagement and happiness.
  • Coordinate effective talent management, including recruitment, assessment, and development as the organization grows.
  • Assist managers in identifying training needs and encourage continuous employee development.
  • Manage Total Rewards activities, such as annual performance and salary reviews and variable pay programs.
  • Stay updated on US and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects passionate about continuous improvement.
  • Address customer concerns to resolve client queries and issues.
  • Collaborate with COE Process Experts to implement large-scale HR initiatives.
  • Responsible for forecasting/tracking management and data integrity with leadership.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of HR experience in a large multinational company, including experience supporting senior leaders.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience with field organizations in Service or Sales.
  • Strong project management skills, especially with virtual teams.
  • Key skills include mentoring, influencing, facilitation, process development, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of EEO and Federal employment laws.
