Group/Division Summary: AIG/CAD
Position Summary: The General Manager, Vibrational Spectroscopy (VIB) in the Chemical Analysis Division will drive the Benchtop FTIR and Raman Spectroscopy business strategy by engaging and aligning key partners and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure R&D, product management, commercial functions and the operations and services organizations are driving delivery of the value proposition and the effective commercialization of new products and innovations.
- Establish relationships and partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders, strategic partners, and set strategies across the VIB business to drive longer term growth and support the organization's mission.
- Responsible for the P&L, including meeting or exceeding revenue and EBITA targets.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, building and driving the portfolio roadmap, supporting integration processes, and working with colleagues to provide high quality products to our customers.
- Be a contributing leader within the Measurement Control and Sample Identification (MCS) business unit leadership team, drive collaboration to ensure achievement of growth. Demonstrate and champion core inclusive leadership behaviors, promoting inclusion and belonging.
- Serve on the Site Leadership Team for Madison WI; the incumbent will be located at the site and be an active member of the Leadership Team, driving culture and engagement through role model leadership behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- 10 years' demonstrated ability in optimally leading cross-functional teams within scientific and/or analytical instrumentations sectors.
- Prior general management experience within a $200M+ business, including full P&L responsibility is preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to set strategic direction for new/high growth business.
- Proficient at achieving results through influence in matrix organizations, including strong presentation and presentation skills
- Strong operational and quality management knowledge to support key processes and production is preferred.
- Strong integration and organizational change experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, communications, and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and implement strategy. Able to perform against robust growth targets, considering various metrics and data inputs, including both organic and inorganic approaches
Additional preferred but not required attributes:
- International experience
- Experience working in regulated environment
- MBA and/or additional advanced degree preferred, not required
