I’ve dedicated my entire career to working in the science and healthcare industries. My work as a strategic marketing professional is a bit more behind the scenes but I’m incredibly passionate about the impact our products and services have on improving the lives of patients across the globe. It’s a very personal connection for me as my wife and her family have battled polycystic kidney disease for most of their lives. We live and breathe it every day, seeing firsthand the life-saving diagnostics and therapies clinicians rely on to help their patients. Being part of an organization like Thermo Fisher Scientific that plays a direct role in getting the testing supplies, equipment, medicine, etc. into the hands of clinicians is remarkable.
It feels really good to wake up each day knowing I’m part of a team that makes a positive impact on a large scale and especially for my own family. Thermo Fisher’s transplant division conducts tissue typing to ensure an organ donation is a strong match – a vital service that ensured a kidney I donated and a new kidney my wife received was successful as part of a living organ exchange program we took part in. Today, my wife is healthy and thriving, even participating in an innovative clinical trial where Thermo Fisher plays another key role in packaging and labeling medicine for patients. It’s a powerful and personal connection between my work and helping my wife and family live the healthiest life possible.
