As a cell biology scientist, I enable biomedical researchers to discover and implement new therapies, vaccines, and potential cures for chronic illnesses. In R&D, we are tasked to design and tailor products to the customers we serve. Success doesn't just mean avoiding development or production delays, but a direct, positive impact on patients' lives. It's incredibly exciting and motivating to read publications citing Thermo Fisher products that are being used to develop novel therapies - some that could potentially impact my own health.
As a Type 1 Diabetic, I'm personally invested in providing researchers with best-in-class tools to develop and implement life-saving treatments and cures for chronic illnesses. Optimizing T-cell therapy products has made me more aware that what I do every day impacts lives. A patient receiving a late-stage cancer diagnosis that previously would have been resistant to treatment may be aided with a CAR T-cell treatment developed using Thermo Fisher products. To be at the forefront of this field with our customers is incredibly exciting and meaningful.
