My job is to solve problems for customers. I lead a department responsible for the development of new catalog and custom cell culture products and processes. My team and I have the knowledge and experience to help customers find a better solution, faster. Our products and services for the bioprocessing industry make it possible to grow the cells that produce human biotherapeutic proteins and both human and animal vaccines, helping to improve lives and make the world healthier.
During my career, I've witnessed incredible innovation and advancement in cell culture. I was fortunate to work alongside a talented colleague at Thermo Fisher who helped to develop first- and second-generation serum-free media for CHO cells used in biotherapeutic drug development and production. This colleague was diagnosed with a blood cancer and given a treatment developed by one of our customers using culture media she helped develop. It has been rewarding to see that the therapy was successful and has positively impacted the quality and length of her life.
