Location/Division Specific Information
We are looking for a new colleague to join our EMEA High-Performance Chromatography Solutions (HPCS) TSS team. The position can be based anywhere in Germany, but preferably close to an international Airport, Berlin or Munich.

The purpose of this role is to boost revenue growth of our HPCS BU instrument portfolio, aligning with the strategic objectives of the CMD European Commercial Organization.
The role
The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) (m/f/d) discovers potential opportunities within this market and customer segment with a view to improving allegiance and sales revenue for Thermo Fisher Scientific. The TSS uncovers the customer’s interest in our products and drives the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition from sample to knowledge. The role interfaces and works in close collaboration with key members of the sales team, CMD Divisional marketing teams, Business Unit marketing, support and technical service groups within CMD. Drives Growth
- Shares the voice of customer towards the Business Unit. Also attends technical teamwork visits to Business Unit manufacturing and R&D sites; Supports new Product Introduction (NPI) prospects within territory to increase adoption rates and revenue return
- Supports and handles the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with the country leads and their sales teams.
- Engages with key account managers and internal partners to gather customer forecasts for new and existing business. Develops strategies to meet sales goals and metrics, which involves developing value propositions.
- Uses Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales tools to efficiently handle the accounts, opportunities, pipelines and forecasting in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintains awareness of competitor and industry activity; Introduces new products and services as available
How will you get here?
Education
M.Sc. degree in Science or Business based fields or equivalent work experience
Experience
- +5 years proven experience selling chromatography & mass spectrometry instrumentation and handling complex, high-value accounts.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, influencing and presentation skills with the competence to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audience.
- Strong market knowledge and business insight of industry sector, markets, applications and key trends preferred.
- Commercial mentality, strongly motivated to win new business, with validated steadfast pursuit of opportunities.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations (50-75%)
- Proficient in English and German, both written and oral.
