Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an individual with a strong work ethic and ambition to join our team as the Vice President of Medical Science & Strategy for Cardiovascular therapeutic area. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to our world-class research efforts in the cardiovascular diseases field. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in driving strategic and measurable business outcomes, ensuring our continued growth and industry-leading position.

A day in the Life:

  • Develop and implement strategies for significant requests for proposals (RFPs), including regulatory issues, drug class considerations, and protocol development
  • Engage with clients' senior medical and scientific leadership to address their therapeutic requirements
  • Support other areas of the company's business activities, such as pro-active client engagement, strategic alliance development, and client governance
  • Provide therapeutic and developmental expertise to internal teams, including clinical trainings, guidance during clinical trials, and authoring of regulatory documents
  • Contribute to innovative initiatives based on your specific knowledge and expertise

Education and Experience

  • Certified medical doctor with at least 10 years of experience in cardiovascular clinical development within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $221,600.00–$332,375.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
