Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is an outstanding partnership that allows our customers to use the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.  This is an onsite position located in Wilmington, DE

The associate scientist will perform a variety of routine to complex lab activities related to formulation and overall drug product development of large molecule drug products. The role involves designing and executing the experiments, document experimental details, organize the data, and summarize the findings in a technical summary report. The position emphasizes scientific rigor, collaboration with different functions, and effective communication of findings within the organization.

Essential Functions:

• Executing formulation studies related formulation and process development plus a variety of characterization studies for development of large molecule biologics drug products.
• Collecting, recording, interpreting, and presenting experimental data appropriately
• Coordinating testing schedules, presenting results.
• Performs work assignments accurately, and in a timely and safe manner and communicate updates to supervisor.
• Document experimental details in electronic lab notebook and author summary reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and /or GLPs to everyday work regarding documentation and instrument use
• Understanding of monoclonal antibodies structure, biochemistry

• General laboratory skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
• 1-2 years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
