Job Description

Repair, install, and update Thermo Fisher Bioproduction Group hardware and automation products. Consult at customer sites.

A Day in the Life

  • Provide instruments and equipment services, including installation, basic training, preventative maintenance, repair, and compliance services.
  • Contribute to high-value service-related procedures and documents.
  • Work closely with other departments to improve customer experience.
  • Foster customer happiness by ensuring timely customer response times and problem resolution.
  • Provide up-to-date service reporting on customer activities.
  • Perform commissioning and qualification of equipment by completing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in your assigned territory.
  • Assist the Service Sales Representative with service orders.
  • Support product quality improvement.
  • Participate in service optimization projects.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer technology, E/E, automation, or biology, chemistry is preferred.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in bioprocessing, automated bioproduction, bioproduction equipment design/maintenance/software control, bioprocessing chromatography, and other relevant techniques desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Identify, recommend, and prioritize improvements to the customer experience, as well as internal process improvements, and work with appropriate internal and external partners to implement them.
  • Delta V or other control software experience is a plus.
  • Proven teammate who can work with counterparts and customers across the world.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with robust communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and desktop application products.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively.
