Position Summary:
This position requires to further develop and execute growth strategies for the Laboratory Chemicals business which clearly position Thermo Fisher range of products as a preferred choice for its customer. A significant aspect of the role will be to identify the adjacent segments for growth and gaining larger market share. This position also require to lead the Chemical Business Product Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and implement Business strategy for the Chemical Business for India. This includes identifying key growth opportunities in customer segments and product segments and prioritise.
- Lead, develop and deliver on new product launches and maintain a balanced NPI vitality index.
- Lead the Localization strategy for current and new range of products.
- Manage optimum margin mix through combination of volume and pricing strategy.
- Enhance the overall customer and channel buying experience to make it Best in class. Drive E- strategy including online ordering, best in class websites etc.
- Work closely with Global Product and Marketing teams to align support and services for India business
- Build robust marketing programs including KOL programs, participation in relevant forums etc. and execute along with Marketing team.
- Lead Sales support and effectiveness: Product training, FABs, protocols to the sales/product management team. Learn relevant best practices from Thermo Fisher Scientific entities worldwide, and implement them.
- Work closely with Supply chain to drive S&OP process including optimum inventory levels, replacement cycles and E&O. Drive customer service metrics for chemicals. Be involved in operational improvement activities, working with purchasing and supply chain. These improvement efforts are centered on increasing customer service and satisfaction via delivery performance and negotiate with suppliers to optimize service levels.
- Lead the CAS score development for Chemical business: Sales & Service
- Work closely with the product and technical teams (field and in-house) to address customer inquiries and product evaluations.
- Develop and coach team members into effective business leaders.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Graduate / Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Post-Graduation in Management preferred
- 15+ years in sales and/or product strategy of life science research/ scientific products in relevant market sectors. Minimum 7 years of experience in product management/strategy
- Prior experience in Sales / Business / Strategy development in the related industry
- Effective team leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of market dynamics and changing environment
- Experience with sales CRM platforms
