Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our devices are involved in research of SARS-CoV-2 virus or enable mobile phones to get smaller. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We are the biggest production site of electron microscopes worldwide, following a tradition over 70 years long. There are many experts in physics, electronics, software, mechanical engineering and logistics among us.

As an Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific you have the unique opportunity to work on advanced technology that is redefining the field of electron microscopy. You will be part of a highly skilled team, working together with industry experts to improve procedures for electron microscopes and their accessories. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the efficiency of our factories and service centers, ensuring efficient performance and outstanding outcomes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Focuses on the top 15 parts issues and support corrective actions.
    • This will continue to refresh as issues are actioned
    • Will monitor all corrective activities to ensure closure or acceptable level
  • Analyzes parts trending against Quality targets and investigate as appropriate ( escalated items) 
  • Reviews IPR (Install Part Request) from Factory & Service to address Quality related issues.
  • Reviews top DOA (Dead On Arrival) parts, understand Root cause and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supports FA Quality team to help where possible in expediting & understanding of item failing mechanisms.
  • Improves visibility and actions to benefit the business and customer experience
