Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support new business wins in designated region from implementation phase to maturity
  • Provide reporting and customer insights to the commercial team for key areas of customer usage, service levels, and inventory
  • Review and process stock requests for customers in region. Provide performance metrics for stock request utilization
  • Manage products at risk for expiration and obsolescence
  • Monitor days of supply for critical items in region and take appropriate actions to expedite product
  • Work closely with Demand and Inventory planners to determine ideal stocking strategies
  • Schedule and facilitate monthly reviews with commercial and distribution teams on supply chain and customer information
  • Provide information to Distribution Centers to support short and long-term capacity planning
  • Supports an environment that promotes positive communication and interaction between departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement through PPI project participation and leadership.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as the need arises and/or assigned
  • Ability to travel to distribution centers and customers in assigned region on an as needed basis - domestically 0-10%.
  • Exhibit a passion for process improvement

How will you get here?

  • 0-2 years of experience concentrating in distribution operations, inventory management, forecasting or transportation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain or related field
  • Strong data management skills (Excel, Access/SQL, Data Warehouse)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to apply in communications with business partners, the field, and corporate personnel.

Preferred qualification

  • Experience in a multi-location distribution environment.
  • APICS certification.
  • Exposure to sophisticated planning systems (Logility, Oracle, JDA, SAP)
  • Understanding of relationships between the planning systems and the effects on the inventory and service levels.
  • Ability to interact with all functional areas and all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
