A Day in the Life

  • Coordinate and lead all aspects of facilities engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to identify and implement improvements in facility design and operation.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Keys to Success

To succeed in this position, you must showcase exceptional attention to detail, a strong determination for success, and a proven capability to efficiently manage facilities engineering projects. A solid engineering and facilities background with evident technical proficiency is crucial. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and standard methodologies, and bring critical thinking to the table.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing facilities engineering projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent technical knowledge of facilities engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • TPM and PM implementation.
  • Understanding of PSM or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and loud noises.
