What will you do?
Our company seeks a Distribution Supervisor that can empower and lead a distribution team. An ideal candidate is highly upbeat, engaged in improving safety, quality, delivery and cost, and maintaining compliance in a highly regulated environment.
How will you get here?
Education
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Associates Degree with 3-5 years of Distribution/Warehouse experience and 2 years supervisory skills or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, empower, direct and evaluate a team of Distribution Personnel Approximately 50% of time is spent on floor engaging with distribution personnel
- Communicate information from management to the floor and vice versa
- Use GPM and the Distribution Activity Pad for supervising daily operations
- Engage in Daily management, Gemba walks, 5S and Practical Process Improvement every day
- Maintains the Warehouse and Distribution areas under Good Manufacturing Practices
- Serve as an Alternate Facility Security Coordinator for the TSA Certified Cargo Screening Facility Program
- Identifies discrepancies as they arise, uses problem-solving abilities to investigate deviations and complaints
- Carry out change controls for changes to processes and/or SOPs
- Revises/creates SOP’s to incorporate procedural changes for the purpose of overall quality.
- Write deviations, perform investigations and resolve appropriate CAPAs
- Maintains an on-call status for Warehouse/Distribution emergencies
- Assist the Clinical Supply Chain Manager to meet department goals
- Performs various administrative duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Competent in inventory management, distribution and warehouse procedures
Ability to lead and develop team momentum, passion, and pride
Ability to work on a team within Distribution and across QA, Client Services and Supply Chain departments
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience working in all aspects of a Quality Management System I.e. Complaints, Deviations, Change Controls, CAPAs
Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Independent, with strong problem-solving ability
Able to work in a refrigerated environment
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices
Technical writing skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Experience Preferred
Prior pharmaceutical or clinical logistics experience Preferred
