Design components and assemblies to meet functional requirements provided by design engineering for next generation products
· Employ standard troubleshooting protocols on equipment and related subsystems (root cause investigation and corrective action implementation)
· Perform failure analysis for mechanical assemblies and components
· Create and update documentation for manufacturing standards of work, including solid modeling and drawings in Solidworks
· Assist engineers in performing product and component validation testing
· Compile and analyze validation data, prepare reports and make recommendations for changes and/or improvements
· Support engineering changes for existing products and/or processes
· May be required to perform other related duties as needed
- Our Research & Development co-ops offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $35 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines).
- Paid Time Off: In the state of Oregon only, Interns are eligible for Paid Time Off. Full-time colleagues accrue 120 hours per year. New hires will begin PTO accrual on the first full month of employment.
- Relocation: Internships longer than 6 months in duration and require the intern to relocate at least 50 miles from their former residence, are eligible to receive $5,000 (net) in relocation assistance within 30 days from their start date.
- Undergraduate or Graduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree.
- 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
- Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
- Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
