Our group
At the Physical Failure Analysis group (PFA), we develop and maintain the software for automation of operation of Scanning Electron Microscopes. Our solution is essential for our customers from the semiconductor industry to identify errors in the production of semiconductor components and advance their research and production, to make them more robust, reliable, and energy efficient.
We are looking for a Software Developer in our PFA Team. Would you like to accept a change and join a new team in a well-established international company? Would you be willing to be part of a team that is responsible for the development of software that performs automation of the scanning electron microscope with nanometer precision and allows the development of the world's smallest chips and memory modules?
Responsibilities:
- Develop control software that enables customers to automate their scanning electron microscope process workflows in semiconductor environments
- Apply development practices that lead to well-maintainable, testable and scalable software applications
- Focus on reliability and robustness of developed applications
- Be proactive in sharing knowledge with others, mentor junior developers so that they can improve their engineering and professional skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- C#/.NET/C++ expertise (based on your preference)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Czech and English)
- Ability to use data and metrics to identify and address problems and drive continuous improvement
- Focus on quality and robustness
- Desire and ability to work in an international context and diverse R&D team that is multi-disciplinary
- Highly motivated teammate with a strong desire for continuous learning and broadening knowledge base.
- Academic degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of relevant development experience
- Capability to travel abroad
Desired (not required) skills:
- Experience with hardware control
Technologies we use
Although our technological stack is quite wide, here are the technologies definitely needed during your daily work.
- Our control software is mostly written in C++
- Our framework for calibration and automated procedures is written in C# using OpenCV image processing
- Front-end is mainly in WPF
- Our applications run on Microsoft Windows as well as in containers in Kubernetes
