Discover the outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Manager, Systems Design Engineering in Brno. As a Systems Design Engineering Manager you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of system engineers, physicists and hardware experts to successfully implement innovative solutions in the area of platform hardware engineering, vacuum technology, modal analysis and vibrations, plasma ion sources, electron and ion columns and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project requirements and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and testing of complex systems to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and prioritisation plans.
  • Work with project managers, program management office and a range of stake holders to ensure a successful delivery of projects.
  • Ensure all designs align with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to team members and collaborators.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve system performance and reliability.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A proven track record in systems design engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven record of leading a team.
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, Physics or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard design tools and software.
  • The ability to strictly adhere to project deadlines and budgets.
